Ernest J. White Sr.

Ernest White was born on January 15, 1940 to parents: Annie Mae Oakley and Junious White in Bessemer, Al.  “Ernie” as he was called, attended Dunbar High School, later graduating from Boston Trade Technical High School.

Ernie was employed by Harvard Medical School as an animal technician for over 20 years.  In April 1975, Ernie and Sandra Isom paths crossed.  This chance meeting would end up a lifetime of love.  Ernie and Sandra were married for over 36 years.  After the 1978 Eastern snowstorm, Ernie and Sandra decided that they had enough of the snow and moved to sunny California.

Ernie accepted Christ as a young age.  Ernie was a God fearing man who loved Christ.  He became a lifetime member of Greater New Vision Missionary Baptist Church.  Ernie was faithful to his position of “Deacon” and loved church.  Ernie retired from Glacier Water Company after being employed for many years.

During his transition from this earthly body, Ernie was greeted by his late mother and father, son, Gregory, brothers, James Elbert, Freddie White and Samson White, and sisters, Rosie Mae Pixley, Agnes White and Nell Lee Whittaker.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Sandra and son, Jason of Los Angeles, CA, sons, Ernest (Susan), Kevin (Diane), all of GA, daughters, Karen Sanford (Ernest) of GA and Sonja Ferguson (Sokaris) of MA, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.  Ernie leaves a host of family, friends and loved ones who loved him dearly.
