Hi my name it's Daian. My reason for writing it's just to say that I'm very sorry for your loss. These are difficult times but I'd would like to give you and your family some hope. In John 5: 28,29 says that "those in the memorial tombs will come out." In harmony with God's original purpose, the loved ones that come back to life will have the opportunity to live in a paradise earth (Luke 23:43) During these difficult times it's important to remember that everything God promises comes true. If you have any questions feel free to email me or visit jw.org.

Lola was a friend of mine for 40 or more years. She was one of the 1st people I met socially, in a singles club, when I returned to R.I., where I was born & raised. My heartfelt condolences to her family. I am very sorry that I was unable to attend her funeral, as I did not have advance notice of it and was speaking to the secretary at Bright Funeral Home even as it was taking place; impossible to get there in time under the circumstances. To David, her son: she was proud of you and your accomplishments. I regret I could not reach my phone when you called on Tues. I do screen calls nowadays (too many scams and computer-dialed calls). When I got to phone, your call had ended. I wrote down the # as best as I could understand it and called it a number of times on my cell phone as I don't have long distances on my landline. Except for once, I always got busy signal; the one other time said call could not go thru as dialed. I concluded the # was for a cell phone & could not be sure I heard it correctly on my answering machine. I thank you for trying to reach me and regret that we could not make contact in time. To Lola's entire family: I, a friend for so many years, will miss her but am glad that she was a friend for all that time. My sympathy upon your loss-- Marilyn Baker

Thank you for your kind thoughts, I'm sorry that the phone problem prevented you from being there. From the several hundred entries in my mom's phone book, there were only a handful with only a first name, and those were the only ones I called when I arrived on Tuesday. If you would like, I can contact you when I return to Rhode Island in a week or two so that we could visit her grave site together. Thank you again very much for your kind words. David
