James Lewis Dixon

James Lewis Dixon, 60, of Metropolitan Road, Providence, died Monday, June 27th, at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI.  He was the husband of Joann (Fullen) Dixon.

Born in Brookhaven, MS, he was the son of the late Herman Dixon and Emma (Adams) Dixon.  He was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School in Providence.  And he received his Bachelor's degree in Business from New England Tech.

James was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Desert Storm.  Then he went on to work 17 years for the Department of Defense as a Satellite Communications Specialist.

Besides his wife, James is survived by sons, Andre L. Dixon, James Jewis Dixon Jr. and Judier L. Dixon, all of Providence, daughters, Marshay Dixon and Shakala Dixon, both of Providence, brothers, Julius Dixon of Atlanta, GA and Charles Dixon of Cranston, and 9 grandchildren.  He was the brother of the late Annette Smith.
