Mahalia Marie Gonsalves

Mahalia Marie Gonsalves, 84, of Waldo Street, Providence, died Monday, May 2nd, at Charlesgate Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Raymond Joseph Gonsalves.

Born in Farmsville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Vines and Hattie (Hines) Vines.

She is survived by sons, Johnnie Santos of New York, NY, Raymond Gonsalves of Cranston, Kevin Veins and Francisco Gonsalves, both of Providence, Thomas Gonsalves of Jacksonville, NC and Marvin Fowler Gonsalves of CA, and daughters, Judy Johnson, Denise Berry, and Barbara Davis, all of Providence, Sandra Sebastian of CT, and Gladys Weeden of Cranston.  She was the mother of the late Tony Gonsalves and Donna Peterson; and she was the sister of the late Pat Vines, Doll Vines, Addie Mae Vines, Lenora Vines, Clifton Vines, Lillian Vines, Ben Vines, Maryland Vines and Haywood Vines.
