Sorn Richardson Jr.

Mr. Sorn Richardson Jr.  88, of Oak Island, North Carolina passed away in the Hospital Thursday, May 11th.  He was born October 8th, 1928 to the late Sorn Sr. and Laura (Hampton) Richardson.

Sorn was married to the long-time love of his life, Lela Mae Richardson who preceded him in death in 2015.  They were married November 13th, 1949 in Ft. Lauderdale Florida.

He is survived by his children Donald  and his wife Ramona Richardson of Oak Island, North Carolina; Ronald Richardson of Tigard, Oregon; Vermella (Ms. Penny) Richardson, Danny Richardson, both of Providence, Rhode Island; Georgianna Richardson of Augusta Georgia. He also leaves 21 Grands, 45 Great-Grands, and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren; whom were his pride and joy.  Sorn also leaves 1 brother (Bassar Richardson of California) and 2 sisters( Marcella Robinson and Matilda Brinson both of Florida). He was preceded in death by a son and daughter, Sorn Richardson III and Marcella Richardson.

Sorn worked for a host of employers including Uncas Manufactures, before retiring from Texas Instruments in 1997.  He enjoyed traveling,  visiting casinos and fishing.  He will be missed by all.
