Yvette Dorenda Hughes-Gayle

Yvette Dorenda Hughes-Gayle 60, was born on June 30, 1956 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Bertha D. “Potts” Hughes Walker and William J. Hughes. She was the Step Daughter of Rev. Clyde O. Walker of Providence, RI. She resided in Princess Anne, Md. Yvette passed away peacefully Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Coastal Hospice At the Lake, Salisbury, MD after a long illness.

Yvette formerly lived in Providence, RI and Dover, New Jersey prior to making her home in Princess Anne, MD.

Yvette was educated in the Boston Public School System. Prior to her illness, Yvette was employed at Go-Getters in Princess Anne, MD and a former nursing assistant in Providence, RI.

Yvette is survived by her Husband, Bobby James Gayle, Sr. and her Daughter, Tracy Gayle, with whom she lived with in Princess Anne, MD, Son Bobby James Gayle, Jr. of Dallas, TX and her Step Son Darian Simmons and his Wife Nannette Simmons of Milledgeville, GA and Mother-in-Law Margaret Gayle of Princess Anne, MD. Yvette was the proud grandmother of Briana Wright, Tyrel Wright, Jr., Darian Jr., Evan, Mani and Millie Simmons, Brothers Derrick Hughes of Boston, MA and William Hughes of Waterbury, CT, Sister Pamela Hughes of Providence, RI, 6 Step Sisters and 2 Step Brothers and was proceeded in death by her two Brothers Kenneth Hughes and Steven Hughes, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Yvette loved to spend time with her family. She loved to cook and watch cooking shows. Yvette will be missed dearly.
