Hilbert L. Beale, 68, of Marion Avenue, died Monday, January 28th, in Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Olivia (Green) Beale.

Born in Isle of White, VA, a son of the late Ludie Beale and Lillian (Johnson) Beale. He was a resident of the city for 40 years. Hilbert was employed by the City of Providence, Parks Department for 10 years until retirement.

Besides his wife, he is survived by sons, Lorenzo Beale and Quentin Beale, both of Baltimore, MD, step-sons, Edward Green and Junior Green, both of Providence, Adrian Green of Decatur, GA, and Steven Green of Barnstable, MA, brother, Marshall Beale of Suffolk, VA, sisters, Ellen Knight, Maryanne Key, Marion Beale, and Mildred Reid, all of Suffolk, VA, and Betty Jean Daughrey of Portsmouth, VA, 2 grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren.

Calling Hours 7-9pm Thursday in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence. Funeral will be entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, VA. Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk, VA.
