Morris O. Brewster
May 25, 1932 to October 20, 2010

Morris O. Brewster, 78, of Johnson Street, Providence, RI, and former pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy, died Wednesday, October 20 th , at The Steere House.

Born in Jost Van Dyke, British Virgin Islands, he was the son of the late Ernest R. Brewster and Adelia K. (Donovan) Brewster.

Morris committed his life to the Lord at an early age, and became a member of The Church of God of Prophecy where he remained a member until death. He was a no nonsense man when it came to serving God. Morris was faithful, committed, dedicated and sold out for God right up to the very end. As a young man he worked as a postal worker for the U.S. Virgin Islands until he became ill and subesquently moved to Boston for better medical treatment.

Morris has always been a loving and caring father to his 8 children. All his children were dedicated in the Church soon after birth. Morris strongly enforced and upheld the scripture, "train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it". Matthew 22:6. Morris will be remembered mostly for his Genuine Love, Reverence and Faith in God, his Integrity, Character and high standard of Morals and Values he lived by daily. Even on his death bed he continued to Minister to everyone with whom he came in contact. He will be greatly missed, he was an Angel here on earth.

He is survived by sons, Curtney Tru Brewster of Boston, MA and Gregory Brewster of Orlando, FL, daughters, Alicia Ackah, Beverly Walters, Donna Weeks, Felicia Brewster and Diana Burns, all of Boston, MA, and Emily Hinds of Hiram, GA, sisters, Pastor Vanita A.B. Reedy and Rosalyn Brewster, both of Providence, RI, Minister Ramona Rymer of U.S. Virgin Islands, 25 grandchildren and 4 great, grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Randolph Brewster, Terrance Brewster and Valerie Pickering.

Funeral 10am Saturday, October 30 th , at Beacon Avenue Church of God, 103 Beacon Avenue, Providence, RI. Viewing begins at 9am; also in church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, 277 Central Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
