Obe Wesley Catlin III, 48, a sheet metalist, of Camp Street, Providence, died Sunday, January 20th, in Rhode Island Hospital.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Obe Wesley Catlin Jr. and Mamie L. (Saggers) Catlin of Providence.

Obe served as a deacon and organist at United Firstborn Church of Jesus Christ. He also was a kempo karate student at George Pesare's Karate Studio.

Besides his mother, Obe is survived by son, Obe Wesley Catlin IV of Providence, daughter, Mamie A, Catlin of Providence, brother, Walter Catlin of Providence, sisters, Ida P. Catlin of Atlanta, GA and Lillia St. Clair of Providence, and granddaughter, Shyleah Catlin of Providence.

Funeral 11am Friday, January 25th, in United Firstborn Church of Jesus Christ, 190 Camp Street, Providence; Calling Hours 7-9pm Thursday, also in church. Burial will be in North Burial Ground. In leiu of flowers, make donations to Camp St. Community Ministries.
