James Clements, 73, a retired RIPTA bus driver, of 150 Stamford Street, Providence, died Friday, May 23rd at Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of Myrna Clements.

Born in Shelby County, NC, a son of the late Bozzie & Mattie (Tory) Clements.

James was an U.S. Army veteran.

Besides his wife, James is survived by sons, James "Buster" Clements of Providence & Kevin Clements of Sacramento, CA, daughters, Janet Harley & Charlene Varella, of Providence, and Cheryl Clements & Doreen Saunders, both of Sacramento, CA, step children, Curtis, Troy, Tracy & Craig Cary, all of Providence, and Janee Long of Cranston, brother, George Clements of Stone Mountain, GA, sister, Margaret Benjamin of Stone Mountain, GA, 23 grandchildren & 14 great, grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Charles Clements, Dorothy Pounds & Mollie Hawkins.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 31st, at 5:30 in Park View Congregation - Jehovah's Witness, 1340 Elmwood Avenue, Cranston.
