Jeremiah Joshua Durrett Sr., 57, of Leander Street, Providence, died Saturday, November 20 th , at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Jesse James Durrett II and Ruth (Pettis) Durrett. He was a lifelong resident of the city. Jeremiah is survived by sons, Ramon Ampon and Jeremiah Durrett Jr., both of Providence, and Robert Carey of Norfolk, VA, daughters, Christine Sallah of Rumford, Lisa Durrett, Danyel Perreault, Deborah Durrett and Regina Durrett, all of Providence, brothers, Michael Durrett of East Providence, Darryl Durrett of Middletown, and David Durrett of Providence, sister, Gail Durrett of Providence, and 4 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Jesse James Durrett III and Deborah Durrett. Viewing 6-9pm Wednesday, November 24 th , in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence. Cremation will follow.
