Annie Gorham
January 5, 1960 to October 4, 2010

On Monday, October 4 th , Annie Gorham left this earthly realm to meet her waiting Savior, Jesus Christ, in the heavenly realm. He gave her the much needed rest that he promised her in his Word.

She was born on January 5, 1960 to the late Lyman and Elnora (Godley) Gorham. She was educated in the New York school system and worked most of her life as a certified nursing assistant until 1989, when a tragedy occurred that left her a quadraplegic. However Annie was always her own best advocate.

While residing in North Carolina, she was given many rewards and degrees by city and state officials. She loved keeping in touch with her family and friends by phone, letters and cards. She loved her “Popeye's Chicken”. She would always ask the family to bring her some. She loved when we would visit her and she was always appreciative of it.

She remained positive, caring, loving and always praying for her family, friends and caretakers. Her life has been an inspiration to many people.

She leaves to cherish her memory forever, one brother, Marvin Gorham of Raleigh, NC, two sisters, JoAnn Gorham of Norfolk, VA and Linda Gorham of Alexandria, VA, two sisters-in-law, Vivian Marie Godley of Providence and Louise Gorham of Deerfield, FL, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends. She was the sister of the late Lyman Godley Jr., David Gorham and Emma Gorham.
