Ervin Lee Hayes , 55, of Robin Street, Providence, died Tuesday, November 16 th , at Roger Williams Medical Center. He was the husband of Thomasina LaVern (Turner) Hayes. Born in Jacksonville, NC, he was the son of the late William Burgess and Mary Hayes of Providence. He was a resident of the city for more than 30 years. Ervin was employed as Lead Custodian for Aramark. He was also an U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by daughters, Mira McIntyre of Raleigh, NC and Michaela Symonds of Providence, step-son, Earl Turner of Norfolk, VA, sisters, Ernestine Chivers and Deborah Flowers, both of Charlotte, NC, Josephine Burgess of Jacksonville, NC and Theresa Dewitt of Providence, 2 grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces. Funeral 11am Monday, November 22nd, in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence; Viewing begins at 10am. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence, RI.
