Gloria F. (Richardson) Isom, 75, of Sumter Street, Providence, died Monday, July 12 th at Hospice care of Rhode Island. Born in Bessemer, AL, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Richardson Sr. and Idell (Castleberry) Richardson. She was a resident of the city for 50 years. Gloria was a graduate of Barrington College. She worked for the city of Providence as a recorder of deeds. She also was a civil rights caseworker. Gloria was also an Eastern Star. She is survived by sons, Shawn Isom and Arnold J. Isom, both of Providence, brothers, Tommy Richardson of Columbia, SC and Alvin G. Richardson of Brighton, AL, sister, Iris Samples of Hueytown, AL, and one grandchild. She was the sister of the late Arnold J. Richardson and Theodore Richardson Jr. Funeral 10am Monday, July 19 th , at Congdon Street Baptist Church, 17 Congdon Street, Providence. Burial will be at Swan Point Cemetery. Calling Hours 7-9pm Sunday in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence.
