Luis A. Lopez Sr., 75, of Elmwood Avenue, Providence, died Saturday, February 16th, at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the husband of Luz America.

Born in Dominican Republic, a son of the late Felix Antonio Lopez and Gardinia Terrero. He was a resident of the city for 18 years.

Besides his wife, Luis is survived by sons, Yonney V. Lopez of Italy, Jose Lopez of Dominica Republic and Luis A. Lopez Jr. of New York, NY, sisters, Carmen I. Lopez of New York, NY and Mercedez Lopez of Italy, step-children, Miguel Ascencio and Lizette Ascencio, both of Providence, and multiple grandchildren .

Funeral 11:30am Wednesday, February 20th, at Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence; viewing begins at 10am. Burial will be in North Burial Ground.
