Thelma Mae (Rose) McBride, 77, of Cromwell Street, Providence, died Sunday, August 15 th , at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of Willie McBride. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Manuel J. Soares and Marion (Hodge) Rose. She was a lifelong resident of the city. Thelma worked 20 years as a certified nursing assistant for the State of Rhode at the RI Medical Center until retirement. Besides her husband, she is survived by daughters, Shirley McBride, Barbara Tunstall, and Kathy McBride, all of Providence, Sheryl Randolph of Norwich, CT, and Gina McBride of Cranston., Brothers, Manuel Rose and Serafin Evora, both of East Providence, Thomas Randall of Warwick, Victor Randall of Providence, and Freeman Soares of FL, sisters, Dorothy Williams of Pascoag, Esther Person of Providence, Joyce Randall-Wright of MD, and Janice Randall of Hyannis, MA, and 8 grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Lonnie Randall, Richard Randall, Edith Rose and Shirley Jackson. Funeral 10am Tuesday, August 24 th , at Cathedral of Life Assembly, 1680 Westminster Street, Providence. Calling Hours 6-9pm Monday; also at church. Burial will be in North Burial Ground.
