Johonie Lee McClintock, 76, of 455 Douglas Avenue, Providence, died Saturday, February 23rd, at Roger Williams Medical Center.
Born in Spartanburg, SC, a son of the late J.D. McClintock and Rosa Lee (Tutt) McClintock. He was a resident of the city for 47 years.
Johonie was retired cable and wire installer for the telephone company. He was also an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Johonie is survived by son, Damon Symonds of Richmond, VA, daughters, Cynthia McClintock and Danielle DePeza, both of Providence, brother, Henry McClintock of San Diego, CA, and 6 grandchildren. He was the father of the late Kenneth Michael McClintock, and brother of the late Hathaway McClintock and Annie Sue Smith.
Funeral 10am Thursday, February 28th, at Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence; Calling Hours 7-9pm Wednesday. Burial, with military honors, will be at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
