Joanna Miranda-Barros, 85, a resident of Charlesgate Nursing Home, died peacefully Monday, February 9th. Born in Carver, MA to the late Candido and Virginia (Gonsalves) Miranda. Joanna leaves one son, Tracey Barros, two stepsons, Ricky & Mike Leighton, one sister, Agnes Brown, 11 grandchildren, 12 great, grandchildren and a host of nieces & nephews. She was the mother of the late Rodney, Larry, & Gloria Jean Barros and Linda Ratliff; sister of the late Mary Roderick, Pauline Thimas and John Miranda; and lifelong companion of the late Henry Leighton. Funeral 11am Saturday, February 14th, in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence; viewing begins at 10am. Cremation will follow.
