Carol B. Nichols, 71, of Doyle Avenue, Providence, died Wednesday, September 2nd, at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, the daughter of the late George C. Hie and Doris E. (Skipworth) Hie. Carol was a retired machinist for Cable Electric. She is survived by sons, Lance Hie of New Hampshire and Sheldon Hie of Providence, daughter, Anna Hie of Providence, brother, George Hie of Providence, sisters, Inez Thorton and Hazel Hill, both of Providence, 5 grandchildren and 4 great, grandchildren. She was the sister of the late James Hie, Martha Dunston and Muzette Hie. Per the family's request, the services are private.
