William "Chaney" Perry, 94, of Stanwood Street, Providence, died Sunday, June 13th, at home. He was the husband of the late Madelyn Elizabeth (Scott) Perry.

Born in Raleigh, NC, he was the son of the late William Perry and Anna (Meredith) Lassiter. He was a retiree of the Narragansett Foundry.

He is survived by sons, Leo Lassiter and Willie Lassiter, both of Providence, and sister, Bernice Meredith of Wendell, NC. He was the father of the late Cleo Hines and brother of the late James Clarence Lassiter, Wesley Meredith and Barbara Carpenter.

Funeral 11am Friday, June 18th, in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence; Viewing begins at 10am. Burial will be in North Burial Ground.
