Marie Angel (Leonie) Pierre, 55, a certified nursing assistant, of Atwells Avenue, Providence, died Thursday, December 18th, at Hospice Care of Rhode Island, Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. She was the spouse of Jean Mary Pierre.

Born in Haiti, the daughter of the late Marcelin Medina and Marie M. Larosilier. She was a resident of the city for 20 years.

Besides her husband, she is survived by sons, Leonard Medina, Alan Medina, and Marvin Medina, and daughter, Ismaella Pierre, all of Providence, brothers, Joseph R. W. Medina of Boston, MA, Frank J. Medina and Marky Medina, both of Haiti, and David Medina of Montreal, CAN, sisters, Marie F. Pargotte of Providence, Theresa Durosaux of Boston and Roney Medina of Haiti, and 1 grandchild.

Funeral 9am Saturday, December 27th, at Elmwood Avenue Church of God, 297 Elmwood Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in North Burial Ground. Calling Hours 7-9pm Friday, also in church.
