Carlton E. Prout, 67, a boxing trainer at Grundy's Gym, of Branch Avenue, Providence, died Friday, July 25th, at home. He was the companion of Jannie Santos of Riverside. Born in Providence, a son of the late Theodore Prout Sr. and Lillian M. (Reels) Prout. Besides his companion, he is survived by two sons, Carlton Williams and Christian A. Williams , both of Roxbury, MA, two daughters, Kathleen Russell of Warwick and Pamela Lopez of Providence, three brothers, Theodore Prout Jr. of Baltimore, MD, and George Prout & Brian Hall, both of Providence, three sisters, Bernice Moore & Margaret Monroe, both of Providence, and Lynn Ann McLornon of Pawtucket, and 5 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late James Prout, Donald Prout, Joseph Prout, Kenneth Prout, Grace Monroe and Barbara Ann Prout. A Memorial Service will be held 11am Saturday , August 2nd, at Beacon Avenue Church of God, 103 Beacon Avenue, Providence.
