Iona (McDade) Ragland, 71, a homemaker, of 9 Jefferson Park, Cambridge, MA, died Thursday, December 11th, at Bridgham & Womens Hospital, Boston. She was the spouse of the late McKinley Ragland.

Born in Knoxville, TN, the daughter of the late Jessie McDade and Mammie (Jones) McDade.

She is survived by her children Roger Jones, Min. Juanita McCoy, David Almeida, Sharon Banks-Tyler, Laurie Pipkins, Alisa Jones-Downing, Queen Ragland, Warren D. Jones, Min. McKinley Ragland Jr., Carl E. E. Jones, Israel Ragland, Penelope Godwin, Alonzo Tahi Jones and Dioseli Vasquez . She was the mother of the late LaDawna Iona Marie Jones and Anita Ragland.

Funeral 10am Saturday, December 20th, at Mount Hope Community Baptist Church, 734 Hope Street, Providence; viewing begins at 9am. Burial will be Monday, December 22nd , at Riverside Cemetery, 752 Pleasant Street, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Alonzo Jones, P.O. Box 603151, Providence, RI 02906.
