William Edward Redding Sr., 73, of Atlantic Avenue, Providence, died Tuesday, April 6th, at home. He was the husband of Carrie Lou (Threats) Redding.

Born in Lawrence, MA, he was a resident of the city for 50 years. William was employed by the Providence School Department and the Vargus Manufacturing Co.

Besides his wife, he is survived by sons, William E. Redding Jr., David R. Redding, and Jamie G. Redding, all of Providence, daughters, Louise Threats, Susie A. Redding and Caroline Redding, all of Providence, and April D. Harris of St. Louis, MO, 14 grandchildren and 2 great, grandchildren.

Funeral 11am Monday, April 12th, in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence; viewing begins at 10am.
