Born in Buckingham County, VA, a daughter of the late Wilson Holman and Cathyn (Redwood) Charles. She was a resident of the city for 50 years. She is survived by son, Kenric Warren Burk of Providence, brothers, Edward Charles, John Charles, and Robert Charles, all of Washington, DC, and Keith Charles of Florence, SC, sisters, Hazel Newell of Suitland, MD, and Cathryn Brown and Geraldine Charles, both of Washington, DC, 3 grandchildren and 8 great, grandchildren, She was the sister of the late Michael Charles. Calling Hours 7-9pm Sunday, January 6th, and Funeral 11am Monday, January 7th, both in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, Johnston.
