Willie Albert Smith, 61, a truck driver, of March Street, Providence, died Friday, June 11th, at Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of Maria Hazard.

Born in Panama City, FL, "Bud", as he was affectionately called, was the son of the late Willie H. Parker and Hattie B. Smith.

Besides his wife, he is survived by sons, Romone Cooper and Derek Earl Hazard, both of Providence, daughters, Mary Cooper and LaShann Hazard, both of providence, and Essence Cooper of Stone Mountain, GA, brothers, Melvin Brundidge and Marvin Brundidge, both of Providence, sisters, Barbara Bryant of East Providence, Jessie Everett of San Diego, CA, Annie L. Roberts of Chesapeake, VA, and Lillie Long and Lonnie McCoy, both of Panama City, FL, and 14 granchildren.

Funeral 11am Saturday, June 19th, in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence; Viewing begins at 10am. Cremation will follow.
