Rev. Clifton Stephenson, 61, of 1214 Cranston Street, Cranston died Saturday, January 19th, in Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Kim (Johnston) Stephenson.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Roberta Stephenson. He was a resident of the city for 17 years.
Rev. Stephenson was a chef for Hemingways and Capitol Grille. He was a member of Holy Cross COGIC where he served on the Board of Clergy; he was also president of the Cathedral Choir, president of the YPWW and member of the security department.
Besides his wife, he is survived by children, Claudette Hill, Booker T. Crum, Tarsheen Crum, Clifton Watkins, Dwan Johnson, and Abdu C. Crum, brothers, Jerome Stephenson, Kevin Stephenson, Eric Stephenson, Ernest Stephenson, Curtis Stephenson, and Theodore Stephenson, sister, Roberta Stephenson, and step-children, LaToya Johnston, Phillip Johnston, Warren Johnston and Brianna Johnston. He was the father of the late Rashaan Crum.
Funeral 10am Saturday, January 26th, in Holy Cross Church of God in Christ, 1014 Broad Street, Providence. Burial will be in North Burial Ground. Calling Hours 7-9pm Friday in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence
