James Terry Sumner, 37, of West Friendship Street, Providence, died Sunday, July 4th at Rhode Island Hospital.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Roger L. Sumner Sr. and Dorlean (Robins) Sumner of Providence.

Besides his mother, he is survived by daughters, Jasmine McLean and Tasha Jordan, brothers, Roger L. Sumner Jr., Jerry Sumner and Robert Sumner, sisters, Vivian Sumner, Doris Sumner, Antonia Sumner and Nicole Walker, all of Providence, and 1 grandchild.

Funeral 11am Monday, July 12th, at Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence; Viewing begins at 10am. Cremation will follow.
