Pastor Arthur Thomas, 72, of Sheffield Avenue, Pawtucket, died Saturday, March 8th, in Memorial Hospital of RI, Pawtucket. He was the husband of Beverly Joyce (McDougle) Thomas. Born in Atlanta, GA, a son of the late Henry Thomas and Mary (Dorsey) Thomas. He was a resident of the city for 55 years. Arthur was an Associate Pastor at True Light Church of God in Christ Jesus. Prior to that Arthur served in the U.S. Army for 23 years, seeing action in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Besides his wife, he is survived by sons, Joseph Thomas of East Providence, Jonathan Thomas of Webster, MA, and Jeffery Thomas of Wisconsin, daughter, Julia Thomas of Providence, sister, Margaret Noles of California, and 3 grandchildren. Funeral 11am Friday, March 14th, at Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence; viewing begins at 10am. Cremation will follow. Inurnment will be Tuesday, March 18th at 9:30am in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Click To View Condolence Messages
