See you in Heaven my Dear Friend. A lot of years have gone
by since we first met. I'll never forget that you trusted me
a 15yr old with the care of your sons. I'll never forget we spent a late night putting an African portrait together. You were a big part of my maturing years, and how to treat a lady, or teaching me how to dance. I'll miss you Gene. You've seen me marry and now having Grandchildren. Time goes by between visits and we just seem to pick up where we left off. I only had two real friends in life and you were a valuable one. God Bless you Friend....

To the Family: Please be comforted in knowing that death has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Bishop was stern and straight to the point. A noble quality in a man of God. We are praying for you at this time, and will continue praying for your family going forward. Be blessed.

Dear Lois, Christopher, Austin, and Family
Please accept our sincere sympathy in the loss of your beloved Gene. He was truly a gentleman. The entire staff and patients of FMC have been graced by his presence, and I feel so blessed that our paths crossed in this precious lifetime. Please be assured of my continued prayers and support during this difficult time.

To my Dearest Lois and my two other sons, Chris and Austin. Heaven rejoices again at the arrival of another Saint. Gene was a big part of my life, as were you all. He helped Al along in his spiritual studies. Anthony adored him and respected him, and in his later years came to lean on him. What can you say about death, except it is the stepping stone to eternal life. I remember how Anthony would sleep over all the time. Bishop Thomas would say, "there they are". They look like an Oreo Cookie and he would heartily laugh. He was not only a great man of God, but a wonderful friend as well. He will be truly missed. Like Keith said, time would pass and anyone could call him. You picked up where you left off. Even if you had not spoken for two years or two days. I find it very ironic that Al, Anthony and Gene now are together again. Welcome to Heaven my dear brother in Christ. I'm sure Al was rejoicing to see his longtime friend. Our sincerest condolences are sent at this difficult time.

Dear Lois and family: It was in 1989 that I first met your husband Lois...and spending many hours with you at DCYF I was able to share in your stories about your husband and your sons and know how much you love them. Gene was a "rock" of a man and know that he guided you along the way. I am sure he is preparing a place for you until you see each other again. My thoughts and prayers are with you Lois.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

We are sorry for your loss. Only found the notice for the service tonight. Both Deb will remember you and Gene in our prayers although I'm sure he has gone on to a better place.
