Jeffery Blaine Thompson (AKA Jaffar Bodine), 49, of Woodbine Street, Providence, died Tuesday, January 5th, at home. He was the loving companion of Patricia J. Duffie.

Born in Kings Mountain, NC, he was the son of the late Troy Lee Thompson and Delores (Boyd) Edgerton of Kings Mountain, NC.

"Jeffe" was a master barber at Simplicity Salon in Pawtucket. He was also known to be a philanthropist throughout the neighborhood and also in Kings Mountain, NC and Philadelphia, PA.

Besides his companion and mother, he is survived by son, Jeffery B. Thompson Slade of Philadelphia, PA, daughter, Tiffany M. Thompson-Williams of Philadelphia, PA, brothers, Jimmy Brooks, William Boyd, Troy Thompson, Rodale Thompson, and Robert Edgerton Jr., all of Kings Mountain, NC, sister, Donna P. Edgerton of Kings Mountain, NC, and grandchild, Macale A. Williams of Philadelphia, PA.

Janazah Prayers will be rendered 1:30pm Friday, January 8th, at the Islamic Center of Rhode Island, 39 Haskins Street, Providence. Burial will be in Little Greenville Cemetery.

A Memorial Service will be 1pm Friday, January 15th, at The American Legion, 2 Salem Street, Providence.
