James Alfred Trippett Sr., 79, of 20 Grand Street, Providence, died Sunday, September 13 th , at home.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Alfred Trippett and Rozina (Hansett) Trippett. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

James is survived by daughter, Linda Ogbeide of Providence, brother, Nathan Ferrson of New York, NY, sisters, Karen Trippett-Lewis of New York, NY and Hester Trippett of Bridgeport, CT, 5 grandchildren and 1 great, grandchild. He was the father of the late James Alfred Trippett Jr. and the brother of the late Deanna James, Jacqueline Gilmore and Mary Jane Butler.

Per the family's request, the services will be private.
