Julia Marie (Brown) Truell, 89, of Wilson Street, Providence, died Tuesday, September 22 nd , at Orchard View Manor. She was the widow of the late William Michael Truell Jr.

Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Haywood & Muriel “Minnie” Ann Lopes-Lizardo. She was a lifelong resident of the city.

Julia worked as an employee of General Fabric in Pawtucket for over 40 years until retirement.

She is survived by son, Joseph T. Raymond Sr. of Troy, NY, stepdaughter, Yvonne Jackson of Dallas, TX, sisters, June Reckling of Peacedale and Antonia L. Green of Jamaica, NY, 9 grandchildren, 19 great, grandchildren, and 4 great, great, grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Milton H. Raymond Jr. and John Raymond, and the sister of the late Jackie Brown and Edith Pickett.

Funeral 10am Tuesday in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence; viewing 7-9pm Monday. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
