John Edward Upchuch, 67, a retired masonry worker, of Sackett Street, died Monday, February 11th, at Roger Williams Medical Center.

Born in Wade County, North Carolina, a son of the late James E. Marriot and Rose Ann (Upchurch) Davis of Providence.

He was a resident of the city for 20 years. John was a member of the Fisherman Club.

Besides his mother, he is survived by brothers, Clarence Spivey of Cranston, Melvin Spivey of Providence, and James Marriot and Timothy Mariott, both of Raleigh, North Carolina, and sister, Diane Spivey of Povidence. Funeral 10am Saturday, February 16th, in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence, Rhode Island; viewing begins at 9am. Burial will be in North Burial Ground.
