Elder Mother Elizabeth Florence (Dickerson) White, 90, of 236 Rhodes Street, Providence, died Tuesday, September 14th , at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of Rev. David Henry White. Born in Dover, DE, she was the daughter of the late Winfield Dickerson Sr. and Ida (Harris) Dickerson. She was a resident of the city for 55 years. Mother White was a member of New Hope Church of the Living God where she served as the church mother for 40+ years. Besides her husband, she is survived by son, Clifton Henry White (Renee) of Cranston, step-son, David Hackett of Providence, step-daughter, Diane McCray of Washington, DC, 5 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and church family. She was the sister of the late Cortland Dickerson, Winfield Dickerson Jr., Bishop Benjamin Dickerson, Robert Dickerson and Arnold Dickerson. Funeral 10am Friday, September 24th , at Mount Zion Church of God, 375 Cahill Street, Providence; viewing begins at 9am in church. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, 5 Branch Avenue, Providence.
