Minnie Lee (Barnes) Williams, 68, of 50 Prairie Avenue, Providence, died Monday, January 12th, at Roger Williams Medical Center. Born in Vicksburg, MS, the daughter of the late Rev. Walter Barnes and Maggie Lee (Walker) Barnes. She was a resident of the city for 46 years. She was employed 10 years by the University of Rhode Island as a nutritional aide supervisor until retirement in 1982. Minnie is survived by son, Gregory Williams of Providence, daughters, Alma Lee Adegunsola of Woonsocket, Coretta R. Fonseca and Gayleen Antonia Williams, both of Providence, sister, Glenda Barnes of Providence, 9 grandchildren and 2 great, grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Bennie Joe Williams Jr. Funeral 10am Saturday, January 17th, at Mount Zion Church of God, 375 Cahill Street, Providence.
