William I. Wilson, 84, of 200 Gordon Avenue, died Monday, May 5th, at Veterans Administration Medical Center. Born in Shelby, NC, a son of the late Andrew Wilson and Rachael (Clinton) Wilson. He was a resident of the city for 43 years. William was an Army veteran of World War II. William is survived by brothers, Thurman E. Wilson of Providence and Ernest L. Wislon of Shelby, NC, and sister, Anna M. Wilson of Providence. Funeral 11am Friday, May 9th, in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence; viewing begins at 10am.
