Bernard Johnson

Mr. Bernard Johnson, son to the late Mr. Leroy Johnson and Ms. Adelaide Smith. Johnson was born on July 19, 1957 in Zebulon, NC. At an early age, Bernard joined the Saint Paul Disciple Church No. 1 in Zebulon, NC where he was baptized as a child. He departed this life at Rhode Island Hospital on Sunday, April 28, 2019 in the year of our Lord and Saviour. 

He leaves to mourn two brothers; Anthony Lee Johnson (Tanya) of Providence, RI, Larry Lionel Johnson (Barbara) of Springfield, MA; one sister Deaconess Millaine Cunningham of Newton, NC. He also leaves a long life partner, Lois Leighton; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. . Mr. Johnson was predeceased by his siblings; Jack, Raylee, Timothy, Howard, Bennie, Joseph, Shelia, and Donna Mae. 

Bernard dedicated his life to the Providence School Department from 1985 until his health began to diminish. He was treasured in life and will be incredibly missed by his peers, family and friends.
