Jose R. Torres, 59, of Providence died on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in the Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Jose C. Tavares and Ana D. Torres.
Jose was the loving father of Indiana G. Torres of Providence. Jose was formerly a baseball coach in the Dominican Republic and though he wasn't active in Providence, he was still a proud fan of the sport.
Aside from his loving daughter, Jose is survived by a host of family and friends in both DR and Rhode Island.
