Kevin Douglas Tomlinson

Kevin Douglas Tomlinson, 59, of Providence, died Thursday, December 21st, at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of Rhode Island.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Frederick Douglas Tomlinson and Barbara Ann (Washington) Tomlinson.  

Kevin received his Associates Degree in graphic design from Oklahoma State Tech (Okmulgee) and also attended Johnson and Wales University for culinary arts. Kevin was a cook for several establishments throughout RI and Mass. His favorite was cooking for the New England Patriots for many years and had the opportunity to prepare meals for former Patriots players Vince Wilfork and Ty Law at there place of residence. He also cooked for Kevin Hart when he appeared in Providence RI. He recently spent the summer on Block Island doing what he did best and loved to do. Kevin loved and listened to many genres of music especially Jazz. One of his favorite jazz artist was former NBA star Wayman Tisdale.

Kevin is survived by his siblings: Keith, Mark, Yvette, Christine, and Steven Tomlinson and Kim Gomes all from Rhode Island. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as his extended family which he loved like they were his immediate family. Kevin will be greatly missed and his loss will leave a void but we will always remember the great memories that he left behind.......
