Loretta Koslowski Obituary

Loretta J. Koslowski, 86, died on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Cherry Hill Nursing Home in Johnston. Born and raised in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of Carl and Isabelle (Patterson) Brown.

Loretta spent most of her life living in Providence, she lived in CT briefly but always managed to find her way back home to the Ocean State. Loretta met and married William Francis Koslowski II. Together, William and Loretta raised five beautiful children. Loretta was predeceased by her devoted husband, William Koslowski, as well as her children Debra Poisson and William F. Koslowski III

Loretta was a devoted Catholic, though solitary in her practices, she was a visitor and worshipper of the Catholic Churches in East Providence. Loretta raised her five children with the knowledge and power of unconditional love. She taught them the importance of patience and kindness. Once her children were grown and moved on, she began raising John, her beloved grandson. Her family came first, always. Loretta will be remember for many things, including her famous Baked Beans and Galumpkis. She was an Elvis fan, but she equally loved other legendary artists such as Johnny Cash and Tammy Wynette. If she was given the opportunity, she spent most of her day watching shows like "Cops" "Dog the Bounty Hunter" and "Wheel of Fortune".

Loretta will be sincerely missed by her family, she was a blessing to them and her community. She is survived by 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
