Maurice Cole Obituary

Maurice E. Cole, 47, of Providence died suddenly on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Roger Williams Medical Center. Born in Providence, he was the youngest son to the late Catherine Cole and Nelson Threats. At the age of twelve, Maurice moved to CT with his mother. He was predeceased by his siblings; Ronald Cole, Wayne Cole, Roxanne Cole and Renee Cole.

Maurice was a man who loved cooking as much as he loved laughing. He was a chef at the Hughes and Howard Johnson Hotel in New London, CT for many years until he came to Rhode Island to care for his mother, where he worked with Vince Baker. When Maurice wasn't working, he was spending time with his friends, whether it was playing basketball or watching football, Maurice was happiest celebrating victories with his tight circle of friends.

Maurice is remembered by his son, Denzel Lancaster as well as his former wife, Kori. He is survived by two sisters as well as a brother, Ty Small; five nieces, Kizzy Hill, Ebony Cole, Ronnetta Cole, LeEatta Briggs, Rhondell Smith and Ebony Threats all of Providence; four nephews, Michael Watts, Johnny Cole, Joshua Cole and Jarrold Cole all of Providence. Maurice's memory lives on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends in both New London, CT and all over Rhode Island. He will be sorely missed by those he loved most.
