Peter Pringle slept away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2018 after a brave fight with Cancer. Peter was born May 8, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York to his much loved parents the late Peter and Gladys Pringle.
Peter was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church, Brooklyn, New York. He worked along with his wife Stephanie and his family at St. Phillip's Christian Church and Allen A.M.E. Church. He was always ready for a scripture and prayer and was often seen reading his Bible.
Peter loved learning and attended Lasalle Catholic School in Manhattan, New York and graduated from Boy's High School in Brooklyn, New York. He later graduated from State University of New York (SUNY) with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. He loved and encouraged learning and was always up to date on world news, politics and sports (anything New York).
Peter worked in New York as Social Worker until moving to Rhode Island in 1990 were he changed careers by working in the Mutual Fund Industry as a System Analyst until his illness in 2008. He also worked in the community for many years planting trees for the entire block, serving on the Mount Pleasant crime watch, spearheading weekend cleanups, participating in cancer relays, volunteering at Roger Williams Hospital and Butler Hospital.
Peter was blessed with a much loved son Jerome Armand. Later he met and married his wife Stephanie an raised LaJhon Sr, Wynter, Raven, Jerome Jr, (Charmaine and Jason deceased) . Many summers meant nieces and nephews at the Pringles which included countless cookouts, water fights and getting kicked off the grass. Christmas was another visit which included gifts, food, talent shows and rules. All visits included the possibility of immediate eviction by Peter Pringle.
Peter was always very very funny and had a very strange sense of humor. But he loved his family very much and was dedicated and passionate about their will being. He always made sure to call his aunts and uncles in Philly, North Carolina and Utah. He had an especially close relationship with Evangeline Stevens, spending summers with her as she traveled to RI.
