Ruby (Hodge) Lawrence

Ruby Lawrence, 95, of Providence died on Wednesday, September 12. Born in Wakeforest, NC she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Mattie Hodge. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Lawrence as well as her children, Donna Lawrence, Deborah Neely both of Providence, Doris J. Allen of Silverstreet, SC and Marjorie Goode of California and a special niece, Deborah Hodge of Providence. She is remembered by 27 grandchildren as well as a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Ruby will be forever treasured in the hearts of her family and friends. She was a kind and generous woman who will always be known as a blessing to those around her. 

She was predeceased by her sons; Charles E. Lawrence, Bobby R. Lawrence, James Lawrence; daughters, Delilah Walker and Felicia Lawrence; brothers, Otis Hodge, Jesse Hodge, Charlie Hodge as well as sisters, Clara Townes and Catherine Hodge.
