Theodore Jett, 60, of Pawtucket died on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Philip Hulitar Center in Providence. He was the companion of Tanya Perry.
Born in Providence, he was the son of George Harold and Marion Jett. Ted was one of six children, but he remained closest to his sister Donna and brother Albert. Raised Baptist, Ted and his siblings brought their faith in the Lord along with them as they navigated the heart of Providence, knowing ultimately that His plan was righteous.
Teddy worked at the Hindle Building in Providence. He was fun and loved joking with his sister especially, when he wasn't busy pulling jokes on the ones he loved, he was busy singing and dancing; He always kept the mood light and his laugh was infectious. Ted was a wanderlust, he dreamed of travelling the West Coast. Despite his big West Coast dreams he was an East Coast sports fan, Ted was loyal to the Patriots and Celtics. He was thrilled when the Patriots took home their sixth ring.
Aside from his sister, Donna Jett and brother, Albert Jett, he is survived by his brothers, Anthony Jett, of Pawtucket, Allan Jett and Kevin Jett, both of Providence, sole remaining aunt, Dolores Jett of Providence, and dear friend, Willie Jones of Providence. His memory is treasured by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
