Viola Palmer

Viola Palmer, of Smithfield Road, North Providence, died Tuesday, July 25th, at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of Rhode Island.

Viola was born in Jamaica.  She was the daughter of the late Oswald and Neatibell (Roache) Palmer.

Viola came to the United States for an opportunity to find work. She settled down in Providence, RI and had a son. She got a job at Rhode Island Hospital and also received her GED. Viola was a very religious woman. She loved to sing and to spread the word of God. She was a very loving mother.

She leaves behind a son Michael Cooke, a granddaughter Alexis Cooke, and seven sisters that include Laura, Olive, Cislyn, Dawn, Roslyn, Advira, and Paulette.
