Brandi Brooks Obituary

Brandi Nichelle Brooks was born on August 21, 1976 to Angela Brooks. She was the oldest daughter of Angela Matthews and Ronald and Johnnie Mae Matthews and first granddaughter of Eva Thornton. Brandi spent her teenage years in the loving care of Dora Matthews.

Brandi was educated in the Providence school system and graduated from Mt. Pleasant high school in 1996. With a heart to help others, Brandi spent the majority of her professional career as a certified nursing assistant and at times as a teacher’s assistant. However, her most important role was been being a mother to her sons, Reginald, Jordan, Romy and Tylon. Brandi made many sacrifices as a mother for the betterment of her sons, always demonstrating the faithful love of a mother.

Brandi will be remembered as a beautiful and quiet spirit who loved lady bugs. Her favorite color was turquoise and she had an infectious laugh and beautiful smile. Her closest family and friends will always cherish the memories and who she was to them whether as a daughter, sister, mother or just a friend.

Brandi was preceded in death by her youngest son, Tylon.

Left to forever hold her in their hearts are her sons, Reginald and Romy, her two grandsons, Zyaire and Romani. As well as her mother, Angela Matthews, father, Ronald (Johnnie Mae) Matthews, siblings Jerel (Lanetta) Brooks, Russell Sykes, Adrana (Aaron) France, Ronald (Keniisha) Matthews, Jr., and Micah Matthews and her grandmothers, Eva Jean W. B. Thornton, and Lerlean A. Matthews and her nephews, nieces,  and a host of cousins, family and friends.
