Dorothy Virginia (Burrell) Johnson

Dorothy Virginia Johnson was born November 12, 1933 in West Point, MS to the late Eli Burrell and Lucy (Sykes) Burrell.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age in Mississippi and was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She was a member of the East Providence Church of Christ and later became a member of Providence Church of Christ where she stayed until her death.

She and her sons moved to RI in 1969 and she worked at the Marriott Hotel until retirement.

Dorothy is survived by sons, Charles Johnson (Wilhemina) of Norwalk, CT and Larry Johnson of Providence, 9 grandchildren, 16 great, grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren. Special friends Johnnie and Ruth Harrison, Lris Claxton, Johnnie Mae Matthews and a host of family and friends.  She was the mother of the late Nathaniel Johnson.
