Emoni Carolyn Chaney

Emoni Carolyn Chaney left this life way too soon and suddenly on March 26, 2024. She
was the 2nd of 2 children born to Reginald and Alicia (DeBritto) Chaney on January 18,1998.

Emoni received her secondary education in the East Providence School System and
worked in a few fields while trying to find out what she wanted to do.

Emoni was determined, impatient and dogmatic. Once she set her mind to something, she
wanted it, she wanted it her way and she wanted it immediately!

Emoni is preceded in death by her 1st beautiful baby boy, Roman Chaney and her maternal
grandfather Kevin DeBritto.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her beautiful son Ariel Chaney, her brother
Reginald Chaney Jr. Her play brothers Derek Bingham, and Kyle Grey. Her niece Amiah
Chaney, her uncle Kevin DeBritto Jr. (Nicole), her aunts Erica Harris, Carolyn
Sarr (Abdoulaye), Marilyn Moore and Kaylynn Roderick. Her godmother, Anna Stashia
Hayes-Kelly. Her maternal grandmother Gayle Rebeiro and her paternal grandmother
MaryKay Harris. Her step-grandmother Roxanne Debritto, her special cousin Daisha Moore,
as well as several other cousins, great aunts and uncles, a host of family, friends and loved
ones who held her dear to their heart and will miss her presence greatly.
