George Revelle Banks

George Banks a resident of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2022 at the age of 60 in Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI

 

George was born in Seaford Delaware on Aug 7, 1962 to the late Nelson Williams and Rose Marie Banks Jacobs. The early part of George’s education was in Seaford Delaware. He attended high school in Delaware, but received his GED diploma in Providence, Rhode Island. Early in life he challenged himself to Job Corp in the area of nursing.

 

George is survived by two sisters, Mattiese Smith and husband Darryl of Florida and Michelle Banks of Delaware; two brothers, Roscoe Banks, Tony Banks and wife Michelle of Delaware. His nieces Felicia Maynard and husband Robert, Latisha Robinson and Jovan Moore, all of Providence, RI. Three other nieces, Eleven nephews, great nieces and great nephews. many cousins, friends and family in Rhode Island, Florida and Delaware who mourn the loss but celebrate the life memories with George.

 

George had worked at Walmart, and Salvation Army for many years until illness caused him to retire. He loved people, especially his family. The most important thing in his life was family. He knew how to touch people, good or not so good, he loved us all. His three favorite things in life were cooking, putting together a fashion show and visiting family. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
